Nashville, mark the date. On Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM, Country Box turns the Texas Troubadour Theatre at 2416 Music Valley Drive into a high-octane collision of championship boxing and live country music. From the opening bell to the final chord, this is a night built for fight fans, music lovers, and anyone who lives for adrenaline-fueled storytelling.
In the ring, hungry prospects and seasoned veterans step under the lights to prove a point. On the stage, Nashville recording artist Kish Moody brings a raw, rootsy soundtrack that hits as hard as the punches. One night, one stage, two worlds colliding in true Music City fashion.
Front and center is welterweight standout Ermes “The Warrior Kid” Orta, a Cuban-born, Nashville-based pressure fighter representing the Nashville Smash in Team Combat League.
Standing 5’10” and campaigning at 147 lbs, Orta brings an aggressive, volume-heavy style that has already produced highlight-reel moments in TCL and previous Country Box appearances.
Born in Sancti-Spíritus, Cuba on August 24, 2001, Orta now trains at Music City Boxing in Nashville and has made it clear that his mission is to become a global star while proudly carrying both his Cuban heritage and his adopted hometown. His recent performances, including appearances on FITE, have drawn attention for his ability to walk opponents down and break them with pressure.
On January 6, “The Warrior Kid” returns to the Country Box stage with bad intentions and a fan base that grows louder every time he walks to the ring.
One of the night’s most intriguing matchups pits crafty veteran Rydell “Rock n’ Rye” Booker against dangerous Cuban talent Nestor Santana. Booker, a Detroit heavyweight, has logged dozens of professional bouts and shared the ring with top contenders, building a reputation for slick defense, sharp counters, and elite ring IQ.
Across the ring stands Nestor Santana, a 6’5″ heavyweight with power, size, and an extensive amateur pedigree forged inside Cuba’s elite boxing system. Santana has also competed in Team Combat League action, where his physicality and strength have marked him as a fighter to watch.
This is veteran savvy versus surging momentum — a true crossroads bout at heavyweight.
The event opens with fireworks as Yoels (Yoelys) Leal Molina meets rising southpaw Ernest Davis. Molina has become a familiar face within the Country Box universe, featured regularly in training clips and promotional content during his renewed push forward.
Opposite him stands Virginia-based southpaw Ernest Davis. According to BoxRec, Davis is a 23-year-old, 5’10” left-hander from Newport News, Virginia, looking to convert regional experience into a breakout performance.
Expect forward pressure from Molina and sharp counters from Davis as they set the tone for the night.
Another spotlight bout sees Ermes Orta matched with Gabriel Smith. For Orta, it is another chance to showcase relentless pressure and body work. For Smith, it is an opportunity to hijack the narrative with a career-defining upset.

Further down the lineup, Victor Abreu squares off with Anthony Eliotti in a prospect-driven matchup with serious upside. Expect pace, urgency, and momentum shifts as both fighters look to capitalize on the Country Box platform.
Alex Maldonado steps into a featured spotlight slot, underscoring how closely his development is being watched. His placement in this event reflects growing confidence from matchmakers and management alike.
In the super middleweight ranks, Russell Harris meets Kenton Diltz in a compelling style clash. Harris brings experience and power, while Diltz adds length, coordination, and athletic upside from his multi-sport background, previously profiled on PrepHoops.
Later on, Michael Jones takes on Kenas Jenkins in a bout where urgency defines every round. Both fighters understand the leverage a strong Country Box showing can provide.
Rounding out the action is a fan-friendly matchup between Dillon Pumphrey and Demetrius Shaw. Pressure versus power — one clean opening could end it instantly.
When the gloves come off, the spotlight shifts to the stage for a live performance by Kish Moody, a Nashville recording artist blending country, southern rock, and Americana.
